It’s official, Glen Kamara has signed a new contract, keeping him tied to Ibrox until 2025.
This is a stunning boost for the squad, fans and club which most importantly, secures a key asset for the good of Rangers.
Of course, the new contract doesn’t mean that the Finland international will see out another four years in Glasgow but if the situation changes, the club can cash in on the true value of the talented midfielder rather that the previous senario which saw him moving toward the last year of his initial contract.
The fantastic news goes to show that deals, negotiations and settlements can take some time.

It had been said that a contract offer was in place and the ball was in the court of the player and his representatives but all of that is now academic.
Kamara has signed on the dotted line and business has been taken care of.
Next?
The spotlight is now lkely to turn to Connor Goldson who is in the last 12 months of his contract and will be free to talk to other clubs from January.
It may come to pass but as Rangers defensive linchpin, we could all do without it.
This Premiership season is critical to the next few years and Steven Gerrard can’t afford for one of his main men to have other commitments, as we enter Autumn and move toward the turn of the year.
Only Goldson knows that particular answer but we will likely find out by January at latest, with positive news to follow sooner, hopefully!
