We picked up a very important win over the weekend against Livingston, but now it’s time for us to turn our attention to our next game. We’re set to finally taken on Cowdenbeath after the last meeting between the clubs was postponed, and we’ll be seeking cup progression.

We’ll certainly go into the game as favourites, and nothing but a commanding performance will be expected.

Ahead of the game, Steven Gerrard has delivered an injury update, and it’s good news for the Geers.

As per Gerrard, via the official Rangers Twitter, Conor Goldson – though not fit for this game – is making quick progress and isn’t too far away from a return, whilst the boss also noted that there are no fresh injury concerns following our weekend tie.

The first couple of games after the winter break are always a worry as players start to get back into the swing of things, but so far so good for the Gers.

Of course, Goldson will be a big miss against Cowdenbeath, but hopefully we can get by without him, and it’s vitally important that we don’t rush him and that he returns fit and ready for our domestic league fixtures.

With no other new injuries, we’ll be able to put out a strong team tonight – and let’s hope that they get the job done.
