Loved by his manager, teammates and the fans – Steven Davis is the consummate professional and the epitome of a true Ranger.

Leading by example on the pitch, living a very normal family life off it, ‘Davo’ is old school.

What a season it has been for the Northern Ireland captain.

As alluded to in his Instagram post, below, he has bagged the following:

  • Won his fourth Scottish league title
  • 800th career appearance
  • Most capped UK mens international player
  • Scottish Writers Premiership player of the year
  • John Greig Lifetime Achievement award

The accolades just keep on coming.

36-year old Davis shows no signs of slowing down, for club or country, following a terrific season with his condition providing the basis for a string of quality displays.

Given that he played almost 50 times for Steven Gerrard’s team in 2020/21, there is some expectation that the demands placed on him next season will be lesser but that remains to be seen.

Davis is a man in control – of his game, his body and his routine.

In this historic season for Rangers, the name of Steven Davis is right up at the top, given his contribution and influence on title number 55.
