A new opportunity for some and a final chance for others – this close season period will certainly be make or break for a handful of Steven Gerrard’s players.
For most of the squad – the Champions – it will be a case of consolidation and more of the same.
That will be complimented with an expected turnover of players leaving and another few coming in the door.
It remains to be seen what lies ahead for the likes of Jordan Jones and Brandon Barker, with exits probable.
For Niko Katic, Glen Middleton, George Edmundson and Jack Simpson, will loans beckon or can they earn a place in the regular squad for the big kick-off on July 31st?
Can Stephen Kelly continue his development to make a numer of first team appearances, following on from his successful loan at Ross County?
Before all of that can be known, the hard yards and physical demands of pre-season have to be completed.
