Rangers are set for a busy period in the next few months and it is certainly nice to be genuinely able to look forward to it all.

Whilst previous seasons have offered hope in flashes, this campaign seems to be offering a more sustainable chance of achieving something and that is good to see.

We’ve got some big games on the horizon, then, and it would appear that the Gers are nicely poised to get out there and attack.

January, meanwhile, will also be important and former Ger Charlie Adam has been talking up the job done at the club by Steven Gerrard as well as hinting that he’d like a move from Stoke.

As quoted by the Daily Record, he said:

“A loan is something I would look at. I will discuss it when it’s closer to the time but I want to play – and Scotland is, hopefully, an option.

“It was great to come back (for Kris Boyd’s testimonial last Saturday) and relive the old stories with the guys I played with at Rangers, like Boydy, Sasa Papac and Pedro Mendes.

“It’s also been good to see how Rangers are progressing this season under Steven Gerrard.

“He has the aura, presence and stature to take on the pressure that comes with that job. A lot of people might have crumbled by now.”

Clearly, the midfielder needs to be playing and isn’t getting the chance at the Bet365 Stadium.

He knows Stevie, too, so it remains to be seen if the gaffer is looking to link up with him again.
