With a 12 game unbeaten run for new Rangers manager Steven Gerrard, most fans knew it wouldn’t last forever and it came to an end at the weekend as we faced defeat for the first time this season and typically it came at the hands of Celtic.

It’s been a steady start though and undoubtedly having been reduced to nine men in the midweek Europa League clash that obviously took its toll on the side in a more lethargic display and performance and with the benefit of hindsight maybe Gerrard would’ve shaken the pack up a touch and leaned on fresher legs.
Irrespective of those kinds of thoughts, Gerrard’s reaction following the game has already won him applause from sections in the fan base as it’s still a learning curve for him in the hot seat and he will make mistakes as he finds his way and with a strong defensive performance on the day there were some positives to take.
Spot on from the gaffer. That is it in a nutshell… That is all. ???????? pic.twitter.com/5lHZPFcebC

Yep. Mistakes made today, but from a team that has been patched together in a few short months, from the carnage of seasons before. The foul for the goal, means nothing. Some you get, some you don't. Let's see just where we are by the end of this campaign, not four games into it.

Excellent response, calm and professional.
Don’t buy into the whole “done by the ref”
End of the day we were beaten by a much better team, we will get better and it will take time, we did keep the score respectable so that’s a positive .— Gary Brown (@GaryGBrown999) September 2, 2018
Spot on. 4th official shouting foul yet the ref ignores it……shocking decision which hands the unwashed the win.

He’s our man. Genuinely feel like we’re somewhere near an even keel now

There was also that element of luck deserting us on the goal and plenty of fans were on board with that.
