Speaking to Football Insider, former Celtic defender turned pundit Jackie McNamara has said that he expects Alfredo Morelos to be sold this summer by Rangers.

The Gers have been good in recent times at getting a number of their transfers – in and out – right and hopefully that’ll continue this summer.

McNamara seems to think that the Gers are ready to sanction an exit for him this summer, too, with him saying as follows:

“From what I hear and read, he’s off. Morelos has made it clear with what he’s said publicly that’s what he wants.

“I think Rangers will have a valuation and if that’s met he will go, maybe £10million, a bit more perhaps.”

Who McNamara’s sources are remain to be seen but it is interesting that he expects us to let go.

Whether he is saying that more out of hope than expectation as he is a former Hoop obviously remains to be seen but it is clear that the speculation around him is persisting.

Personally, I would think we’re going to fight to the end to keep him from moving this summer and, at the moment, I do genuinely believe that he’ll be staying put for next season.

  • Theres only one McNamara, and he’s too busy with his band at present with it being the marching season. This eejit knows as much about football today,as he did when at Parkhead, absolutely HeeHaw.His opinions are worthless, and it irks me that he is employed as a pundit.
