Source close to player reveals hopes to be at Rangers for 2019/20

Speaking to Press Association Sport – via the Scottish Sun – Ives Cakarun, the representative of Borna Barisic, has revealed he hopes the player will feature for us next year.

The left-back had a tough time last season at Ibrox after arriving with him suffering a few injury spells that really upset his rhythm.

However, there is a belief that if he can stay fit he might be able to offer us some genuine quality and though I’d like to see a new left-back arrive, like many of us, if he can prove himself that would be a bonus.

He is, after all, an international for Croatia so there is pedigree there and his agent has suggested with his comments that there is real hope he will be playing for us next season and doing well.

He said:

“He was injured three or four times last season but we fully hope he can play a big part in the new season. He’s a champion player.”

Of course, words are one thing and actions are another so the player still has to show what he can do but I do think he will have the chance to do exactly that.
