With the eventual capture of Kyle Lafferty by Rangers from Hearts this week – after what seems like an entire summer of ‘he’s on the verge of joining’ speculation – with the relief that the news brought, some fans are hoping our transfer business isn’t yet over.
With centre-half speculation continuing as manager Steven Gerrard looks for another body for cover in defence, these fans on social media are hoping we’ll make it 14 incomings and add Leeds United’s Stuart Dallas to our ranks.
I’m not entirely sure what sparked this rumour on the mill, but it seems to have come from Dallas himself tweeting Lafferty good luck on the transfer. In response, some fans thought it would be a good opportunity to cheekily ask the 27-year-old winger if he fancied joining him.
Feel free to come and join him mate ????????????

I’d be amazed if anyone genuinely thought this would turn into a deal, it’s not going to happen and with the English permanent window shut, I don’t see Leeds or their manager Marcelo Bielsa sanctioning a move out for a man he’s already included in his squads this year, knowing they will then have to replace him – even if he has only made a substitute appearance on the pitch so far.
Maybe in the future, but certainly not at the moment.
