Rangers manager Walter Smith was delighted with Rangers victory today and also stated that Nikica Jelavic was back to his best after injury.

Boss Smith said Jelavic had actually been more involved in the previous two games but was pleased to see him get in amongst the goals this afternoon and has been pleased with his transition from playing in Austria to playing in Scotland.

Jelavic aside, Smith was also delighted with the victory today saying: ‘It was a very pleasing day for us, we played very well, started well and managed to get a goal early on through Steven Naismith. That cemented a good start from us and after Mothewell had a good spell, we broke away and scored our second.’

Smith was also pleased to see David Healy grab a goal on his debut and was pleased with his contribution to the team. Healy would have been pleased to score in front of his family and friends who were over for the game.
