Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson is the latest name to be linked with the Rangers manager’s job. It is thought that David Murray wants to take advantage of the situation at Manchester United where things are unsettled.

Roy Keane has left the club, United are struggling to qualify for the second phase of the Champions League and can’t find any sort of consistancy in the Premiership.

On top of all that fans are unhappy with Ferguson’s tactics of late and Sir Alex is thought to be unhappy working under Malcolm Glazer.

Alex Ferguson played for Rangers in the 1960’s but it was an unhappy time for him. He has had more success as a manager than a player and has brought huge success to Aberdeen and then Manchester United where he won the Champions League in 1999.
