Rangers fans were delighted by the performance of captain James Tavernier on Sunday, after his double from the penalty spot helped secure a vital three points away to Hamilton Accies.
Prior to today’s match Steven Gerrard’s side had failed to register a win away in the Scottish Premiership and it looked like a draw could be on the cards again when the home side cancelled out Ryan Kent’s first half opener with just ten minutes remaining.
However, two penalties were then converted by Tavernier before Alfredo Morelos banged in the fourth of the afternoon for a 4-1 victory.
Tavernier’s record from the penalty spot is now ten in ten for Rangers, with seven of them coming this season alone, making him one of the club’s top scorers right now.
He showed great composure to pick up the win this afternoon and he grows more and more popular with fans after each passing game.
