Rangers kept the pressure on Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table yesterday with a comfortable 4-0 victory over St Mirren at Ibrox.

With the Hoops not playing until Sunday, it was important to keep within distance and the win over the Buddies ensured we cut the gap to three points.

Two James Tavernier penalties, a Jermain Defoe spot kick and a fine Ryan Kent finish provided the victory, leaving supporters delighted with the result, even though some individual performances left a lot to be desired.

One of the most criticised throughout the match was new signing Steven Davis, who is still very clearly getting back to full match fitness having featured little for Southampton this season.

Some are growing a bit concerned with his last few performances though, questioning whether he should continue to be selected in Steven Gerrard’s starting eleven.

These fans took to Twitter to discuss his Saturday display…
