With plenty of praise flowing round the Rangers fanbase following our sterling performance against Aberdeen on the Premiership opening day, midfielder Ryan Jack continued to impress fans with his own individual performance at the weekend.

Taking a 1-1 draw at Pittodrie and by rights, it should’ve been all three given the performance – we just lacked that second goal to kill them off despite being down to ten men – plenty of players took their chance to impress and Jack was no different as he lined up in the middle of the pitch alongside summer arrival Lassana Coulibaly.

With the 26-year-old having a difficult maiden season at the club, he certainly seems to have a new lease of life under manager Steven Gerrard and under his charge, plenty believe he will now go on to far better. It’s the second game in a row that Jack has taken the plaudits having impressed against Osijek, so long may that continue.

With Aberdeen finding their leveller on the day after Jack had gone off with a knock, that probably tells its own story in some ways but plenty will be hoping his injury looked worse than it turns out to be.

It was a suspected concussion though, so if true, I imagine he’ll miss the next match at the very least.
