Rangers supporters are calling on Steven Gerrard to start midfielder Ross McCrorie more consistently after he impressed in the starting eleven on Sunday afternoon.

The 20-year-old produced a performance beyond his years to help the Gers to a 3-0 Scottish Premiership win over Livingston, winning balls in the air and breaking up play on the ground.

His composure for a player so young is remarkable and his presence in the team gives us a stability we simply don’t have when he is not playing.

He has started just 11 matches this season, with Gerrard opting for different combinations in the middle of the park for the most part.

However, surely McCrorie’s recent performance means he will now get an extended run of games in the team?

That’s the opinion of many fans who are taking great delight in seeing a homegrown player excel so much. They want Gerrard to put his faith in the young man and allow him to reach his full potential.
