Rangers supporters are growing more and more frustrated with first-team star Daniel Candeias after he again failed to impress on Saturday.
The Portuguese winger started the 0-0 draw against St Johnstone and struggled to create much at all before being hauled off with twenty minutes to go.
He also ballooned a good chance over the bar in the second half and while he at least got himself into decent attacking positions, fans are deeply unhappy with his final product right now.
His direct goal contribution needs to increase having scored just five goals this term, also assisting six times.
Unfortunately for Steven Gerrard he doesn’t have exceptional options to replace him in the starting eleven and it’s likely he will get plenty more starts between now and the end of the season.
The draw leaves Rangers perilously close to dropping out of the title race and we are now relying on Kilmarnock doing us a favour this afternoon.
These fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Candeias’ Saturday display…
Candeias has 2 shots tee’d up just inside the box, all he needed to do was get them on target and it’s a goal, and he ballooned them.

Has Daniel Candeias ever completed a cross?

Definitely. I like candeias but he was absolutely woeful today and hasn’t been great for a while. This might be controversial, and don’t get me wrong I wasn’t s fan, but we’ve never replaced windass goals

I actually like Barasic and Candeias but ffs both of them were absolutely awful today????????♂️

We are a one man team! Without Alfredo… we are nothing! So many players not good enough! Candeias work rate aside is really poor, Barasic lacks the fight to be a success here, Tav disappears as usual in these types of Games,
Another game we have been clueless & dropped points

Candeias’ work rate is commendable but for me he has way more bad performances than good. Needs a spell on the bench maybe.
Like the rest he was shocking today— Alfie-Mo (@BufaloSoldier20) February 16, 2019
