Three years Steven Gerrard has been the manager of Rangers and in fairness, he has delivered on every one of his promises to restore our battered reputation and put us back on top of Scottish football.
A simple social media post remenicising about the start of “the journey” went down well but it was how he signed off the post that will have endeared him even further to the Light Blues faithful…

Nice though it is, this isn’t the real reason we are here, if you have been keeping up to date with all things Vital Rangers you will know that Fashion Sakala is a Rangers player the club has now confirmed the transfer, a chain of events over the last few weeks meant that it was only a matter of time but this morning reports in his homeland and on Transfermarkt revealed that a four-year deal had been signed.

As with all things modern football it’s the small things that are noticed first, he started following Rangers players on social media before he announced that he would reveal his next club after last Saturday’s game against Standard Liege – he scored in a 6-2 win by the way – however, no announcement was forthcoming, more to do with the recent boycott of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram than any hold up or hitch in the deal as reported by Vital Rangers.

Which takes me to my point…it might not have been Sakala standing at Ibrox or Auchenhowie with a scarf above his head but it’s pretty much the next best thing, the Oostende forward has already been keeping in with his new gaffer – why else would he like a post signed off with “WATP”?
