Steven Gerrard has categorically said that none of his players will be sold this window, none of them, not one.

However, this hasn’t stopped Alan Hutton from suggesting, in an interview with Football lnsider, that Ryan Kent could be sold this month should the likes of Leeds United follow up their serious interest from the summer with an offer that is too good to refuse.

“You always want to kind of tie your main players down and he definitely is, even though he’s had a little dip in form, I still believe he’s one of the main threats for Rangers.

“You always wonder when a player has an agent change, what the reason is behind it – whether it be looking for a move or whatever but there’s been big offers for him.

“Rangers paid £7million which is massive money for Rangers, let’s not kid ourselves, Leeds had huge interest in him but it didn’t quite work out but again I always go back and say if the price is right, the player will go.

“If he’s playing well and there’s teams sniffing about, Rangers will have their own value on his head and if that’s met this month, then it’s going to happen.

“Rangers are the type of team, like most others, that they are always looking forward, they’re always looking at different options, who can they bring in, so they’ll be quite fluid with it, and they’ll just have to wait and see if an offer does happen.”

As Hutton touches on, Kent has recently changed agents but has certainly never said anything about being unhappy at Rangers or displayed annoyance at not getting a move to the Premier League in the summer, if anything, he showed his best form for the club when others could easily have been distracted by the attention.

Would Rangers sell Kent this month?

Yes, if money was right

Yes, if money was right

No chance

No chance

Kent is going nowhere this month, not just because Gerrard says so, but because the squad is so close to writing their names in the history books, you would have to be daft to turn your nose up at that regardless of your career aspirations.
