Rangers youngster Zak Rudden produced a magnificent display to help his loan club Falkirk win in the Scottish Championship on Saturday.

He netted a double on the day, contributing to a 3-2 win over an in-form Inverness Caledonian Thistle that moved his struggling side off the foot of the league table.

The 18-year-old has now scored six goal in ten appearances for the club since moving from Ibrox at the end of the summer transfer window.

On loan until January, his performances are certainly giving Steven Gerrard something to think about in terms of who his third choice striker should be behind Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty.

Umar Sadiq isn’t cutting it and fans would likely respond well to the introduction of Rudden into the first-team squad.

It may be the case that Gerrard still doesn’t feel the teenager is quite ready to make that step up, but continuing to bang in the goals won’t do his chances any harm.

These fans took to Twitter on Saturday to let everyone know how impressed they are with his current exploits…
