It’s been a decent season so far for us, but Steven Gerrard has already discovered how cruel Scottish football can be. Having already suffered a few defeats and draws, the ‘Gers have a long way to go to be able to comfortably ensure a title challenge in the Scottish top flight.

Gerrard has also learnt first hand what the referring is like in Scotland, and that was particularly the case against St.Mirren over the weekend.

Daniel Candeias was sent off after being handed a yellow card for an incident involving Anton Ferdinand, and it’s fair to say that the decision was controversial.

That’s evidenced by Rangers’ decision to appeal the decision, an appeal that has this week been turned down. 

It means that the attacker will miss Rangers’ upcoming game with Motherwell, which is, of course, a significant blow.

Unsurprisingly, this has left many Rangers fans feeling very frustrated indeed. In response to the news, plenty of Rangers supporters have taken to Twitter to voice their anger.
