Rangers fans have voted Allan McGregor as the most impressive performer so far this season of all the club’s summer signings.
The Ibrox shot-stopper, in his second spell at the club, has been instrumental in the side’s impressive European campaign.
Without him, there’s every chance Steven Gerrard’s side would not be in the group stages of the UEFA Europa League, never mind competing well in the group itself.
It’s an interesting verdict from supporters given he arrived at the club on a free transfer, well below the millions of pounds spent on other arriving talents.
Earlier this week, we gave fans the opportunity to give a thumbs up or a thumbs down to every new player who has had minutes this season and it was the Scotland international who came out on top.
If we are to win any trophies this season then it’s likely he’ll be at the heart of it all swatting away opposition attempts on goal and organising the defence in the way he has been.
