We had a very busy summer transfer window, and that’s largely paid off. The ‘Gers have enjoyed a decent season so far, with many of Steven Gerrard’s signings impressing in Scotland.

Naturally, then, talk is already beginning to turn towards the January transfer window and who Gerrard might want to add to his squad.

We recently made the case that Liverpool man Dominic Solanke would be a good choice. The 21-year-old forward has bags of quality on the ball and is a natural goalscorer, and that’s something that Rangers could do with.

It seems as though he’s a popular man amongst Rangers fans, too, given that in a recent poll, a whopping 95% of those polled would like to see Rangers land him.

That’s an overwhelming amount of support for a player that has very little experience at the highest level, but fans clearly recognise his natural ability.

He’s a brilliant poacher, and if he’s given a chance, he’s the sort of player that you can bet will put it in the back of the net.

Solanke isn’t playing much for Liverpool at the moment, and so a move could be best for all parties.
