While the majority of Rangers fans feel that Jason Cummings will not be back at Ibrox this season, a large proportion feel like he still has a future in Steven Gerrard’s squad.

Cummings spent the second half of last season on loan at the Light Blues from Nottingham Forest and although he failed to replace the established Alfredo Morelos completely, he still managed to score six goals in 18 appearances.

There has been no news about potentially signing the player on a permanent basis since, despite the initial loan deal having an option to buy.

With Eduardo Herrera on his way out of the club, there’s room for Cummings at Ibrox if Gerrard wants him and there may not be many better options in the player’s price range.

Some Rangers fans are on board with a return, with 43% of respondents to a poll we published earlier this week believing he has a future at Ibrox.
