Sources in Turkey – via the Scotsman – are suggesting that Rangers remain in talks with Martin Skrtel over a potential move to Ibrox in the summer window.
The Slovakian international has played at the highest level for a considerable time during his career.
He’s played for Liverpool and Fenerbahce, of course, and is currently a free agent, which would make him that bit easier to attain for the Gers.
Indeed, they’d only have to sort out a package for the player and not have to deal with a club, though what his demands exactly are remains to be seen.
It appears that the GersĀ – according to these reports at least – are still trying to work something out, then, though I am happy with what we’ve got without him.
The four centre-backs we’ve got at the club are good enough for us this year, so I’d only say sign Skrtel if it makes financial sense.
