According to the Scottish Sun, Glenn Middleton’s supposed move to Doncaster Rovers could now well be on hold as things stand.

The young winger has been expected to leave Ibrox this summer on a loan deal and Doncaster looked set to be the side he was going to.

Of course, several of our fans, to say the least, were a little concerned that we were not going to try and get more out of him ourselves this season, but Donny at least represented a fairly strong destination.

Now, though, manager Grant McCann has left for Hull City and that has left Middleton rather in limbo despite it looking likely that he was going to move to South Yorkshire in this window.

Of course, he still could go there but with Rovers looking for a new manager the man that comes in might not fancy him.

Equally, might McCann want to take him to Hull? It’s a transfer that has taken a late twist and it remains to be seen what the resolution will be…

  • Not too keen on him anyway. We need to offload some of the fringe players, got far too many taking up wages. Quality over quantity please

  • Why do I need to fight through advertising midway through every article and sometimes not get the full article atall?
