Rangers yet again failed to win away from home, and to make matters worse we couldn’t even draw this one and suffered our first defeat in the third division.

We knew that our form away from home was poor but we were still unbeaten and we we playing the team at the bottom of the third division. Essentially as of that moment – the worst team in Scotland.

The Stirling goal came early, after only eight minutes, giving Rangers plenty of time to try and claw it back. Some terrible defensive play lead to Brian Allison scrambling the ball into the net. His own manager wasn’t even at the game to watch the shock win as he attended his own wedding.

Dean Shiels had a chance to salvage a point towards the end but his shot went wide and the minnows held on for the win.
