Not much of a match report here actually, as you could imagine, I’m just too gutted at the outcome and the fact that Rangers along with all the other teams in Scotland are out of Europe before the end of August.

Rangers totally dominated the game but just could not convert enough chances. Maribor took the lead in the 55th minute through Volas leaving Rangers needing two goals to take it to extra-time.

Maribor done a great job of wasting time but Rangers managed to scramble home an equaliser with the unlikely scorer of new boy Carlos Bocanegra with 15 minutes left to play.

Rangers had at least two glorious chances to get that second goal. Sub David Healy was clean through on goal but his shot was hit straight at the Maribor goalkeeper. He really should have buried it. Then Kyle Lafferty had one cleared off the line in the dying seconds.

It was not to be though and that is Europe over with for another season.
