Rangers returned to action after the international break looking to make amends for a shock defeat to Stirling Albion in the last game.

Ally McCoist ditched his suit for a tracksuit. He later joked that this was to threaten the players that if things didn’t improve he’d come on to the field to show them how it’s done. Well as it happened he didn’t need to show them how it’s done, we had Lee McCulloch to do that instead.

Jig scored two goals in the second half to give Rangers all three points at Ibrox. The captain is in fine goal scoring form and continued that form in this game. He scored the first of his goals in the 57th minute after being set up by Dean Shiels for a simple tap in after the Northern Irishman went on a great run beating two players.

The second came in stoppage time, and it was a simple goal for McCulloch again when he got on the end of a rebound after a 30 yard effort from McKay came crashing off the crossbar. The goal ended proceedings nicely and it was a job well done.
