Rangers continued the fine home league form with an emphatic 4-1 over Montrose. Rangers have been scoring goals for fun at Ibrox, even if their away form has been indifferent. It was a similar scoreline to the previous home games with the visitors getting a goal but this time Rangers scored first and the visitors got an equaliser.

Dean Shiels opened the scoring for Rangers in the 27th minute but only 8 minutes later Montrose got a shock equaliser thanks to an Argyriou own goal. Not a good week for the Greek defender who had missed a penalty against Queen Of The South in the shoot out.

Two goals in five second half minutes (55th and 60th) put Rangers back in control however. MacLeod put Rangers into the lead, and McCulloch got yet another goal to put Rangers two ahead. Youngster Crawford put the game beyond any doubt when he made it 4-1 in the 82nd minute.
