Rangers continue to be at logger heads with the national broadcaster, BBC Scotland, with the latest row in the ongoing saga doing little to suggest that it will end any time soon.
Supporters group and fifth largest shareholders, Club 1872, issued a statement after it was revealed that Michael Stewart is “available for selection” for both Sportscene and Sportsound after his incredible rant against Jim Traynor and Alfredo Morelos.

Rangers dispute originates around BBC Scotland reporter, Chris McLaughlin, making a series of inaccurate claims leading to the Ibrox club withdrawing his credentials and access to the club, there has never been a ban on the BBC, just McLaughlin.
With Stewart, as yet, failing to issue an apology to Traynor – who was subject to an assault shortly after the rant – and Morelos – who has seen an individual charged with racially abusing him with others already convicted – Club 1872 and Rangers themselves feel that it is the clearest indication yet that the club are treated differently to others in Scotland.
Do you want Rangers to resolve their conflict with the BBC?
Yes
No
Gers fans took to Twitter after the fans group released the statement to show their disgust at the way a publicly funded organisation is treating a large percentage of their contributors.
Great statement….the bbc should hold their heads in shame!!!!!

I think the fact that Stewart doubled down on his rant with his puerile tweet in Spanish showed that he has absolutely no remorse over the matter.

Only way to really hit the BBC agenda where it Hurts, is in court. litigation is the only way to redress this relentless attack on the club by BBC Scotland.

Michael Stewart has a hatred for Rangers and he doesn’t try and hide it, he slanders our club, and got someone attacked with his lies, the BBC have shown where they stand, and I hope Rangers football club come out and slate this. BAN THE BBC.

BBC Scot have zero interest in discharging their responsibilities with regards RFC so withdrawing from dialog and waiting for them to come back to the table plays into their hands. I hope we are following this up in London.

Although the guy is a non-entity, a wannabe that couldn’t be, he shouldn’t be given this platform to spout his hatred. Still expected from the BBC & BT. At least BT disappear at the end of the season. Expect a push on Rangers when Channel 4 air tonight. 🤔

Whenever it seems like there may be a bridge being built between the two warring parties there is another incident which only serves to reignite the conflict, an mutual resolution seems further away now than it ever did.
i wont be renewing my tv license as this biased organisationd nt let me see any football news of my team (rangers) whom they have boycotted and i hope all gers supporters do likewise
