Ibrox before a European match

It’s been confirmed by Caledonian Braves on Twitter in recent days that young goalkeeper Nicky Hogarth has joined them on loan from Rangers for the foreseeable.

The youngster has been out on loan before from Ibrox with him heading to East Stirlingshire last season and this is another chance for him to try and get some competitive minutes.

He’s a young goalkeeper and so that is always going to make it hard to force your way in and with our options between the sticks that task is even more unenviable.

It makes sense for him to be moving on loan this summer, then, with the news confirmed a few days ago by his temporary club.

Meanwhile, the Gers have Allan McGregor, Andy Firth and Wes Foderingham battling it out for the number one spot and that is more than enough in terms of that battle.
