Ally McCoist has said the reaction from the fans when Lee McCulloch raised the Trophy was everything he had hoped for.

Dedicating the day to the fans, McCoist told the Official Site:

‘When the supporters saw him do that (lift the trophy) they knew that was stage one completed. The reaction from the crowd was everything I hoped it would be. I was just really desperate to win the game today, no matter how, I just wanted to win for the supporters. It’s all about the supporters, they deserve unbelievable thanks and praise from everyone within our club.’

McCoist also said that he’s hoping for the youngsters, that with them now tasting success, it will drive them on to want more and work even harder on the training ground to be the best possible players they can be, because he thinks they are capable of writing them into the Rangers history books with the challenges that face us in coming seasons.
