Rangers youngster Glenn Middleton certainly helped himself to a share of the headlines as he scored his first senior club goal in the weekend’s run out against Dundee.

Hosting the side at Ibrox, Rangers scored four times with Lassana Coulibaly, Ryan Kent and James Tavernier getting on the scoresheet in the first half of the game, but coming on as a second half substitute, Middleton got himself off the mark with his 83rd minute effort.

Understandably that went over extremely well with the fan base and plenty were quick to jump on his own social media post so they could pass on their congratulations.

Having come in from English side Norwich City back in the January transfer window, he has been impressive in his six substitute showings so far in 2018/19 and manager Steven Gerrard is clearly happy to lean on him whilst he continues his development, but the maiden goal is a milestone in football and you certainly wouldn’t think it’ll be the 18-year-old’s last as his early potential implies he should have a massive future ahead of him.
