Sheyi Ojo has arrived at Rangers but there is still plenty that the club needs to do in order to be ready for the new season.
The Gers need a few tweaks up and down the pitch and hopefully Steven Gerrard will be able to sort that out this summer.
We could do with some additions in central defence for example, but it looks as though Patrick Bauer will not be joining our club any time soon.
The Daily Mail had reported that the defender was of interest to the Gers not so long ago but he has since left Charlton and move to fellow Championship side Preston – the Deepdale club confirmed on Twitter today.
A towering centre-half of considerable talent, he would have been a fine signing for us but though we were apparently interested we never seemed to make a real move for him.
We won’t be able to for a while now either, it seems.
