Rangers want to sign central midfielder with keen eye for goal this summer

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has his eye on Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones ahead of the summer transfer window, according to website Football Insider.

The outlet say the Ibrox boss is keen on bringing more Anfield youngsters on loan to Ibrox for next season and Jones is on the initial shortlist having made good progress in Jurgen Klopp’s over the last year.

Still just 18 years of age, he made his senior first-team debut for the club in the FA Cup this season, reward for excellent form for the U23s side.

Described as having “an eye for a pass and a keen eye for goal” by the official Liverpool website, he could be the creative link in the middle of the park we’ve been crying out for.

He’s scored seven goals and assisted three times in 18 youth appearances for the Reds this term.
