Rangers are interested in bringing Hearts striker Uche Ikpeazu to Ibrox this summer, according to The Sun.

The paper say that the Gers have been tracking his progress this season and see him as a viable option to boost the attacking ranks in Steven Gerrard’s first-team squad.

Having just recently signed a new contract at Tynecastle though, it would cost £1m to bring him to Glasgow, the report states.

The Sun believe we aren’t the only club interested either, with Celtic and Cardiff City both also keen on his services.

Ikpeazu’s football at Hearts has been limited this season due to a foot injury but he has impressed with his physical attacking play and at 6ft 3in would give Gerrard an alternative option to both Alfredo Morelos and Jermain Defoe.

He’s scored six times and assisted another four in 20 appearances so far this term, most recently on the scoresheet in a 2-1 win over Aberdeen last weekend.

Rangers have been intent on signing the best players outwith the Old Firm in the Scottish Premiership in recent transfer windows.

Is Ikpeazu another who can come into the club and impress?
