There is no real reason for Michael Beale to rotate his line-up this weekend, however, after picking the same team for pretty much three games in a row, he might want to tinker and see what other players can offer.

In terms of injuries, the squad is looking a lot better with Malik Tillman returning but we will have to do without Borna Barisic who has returned who to be with his wife who is expecting their first child.

It was hoped that it was just a slight knock for Nico Raskin and that the young Belgian would be fit to make the squad, however, he was also sighted on Friday afternoon at the airport heading home.

With a few permutations, this is who I think the manager will go with to bring the three points back to Ibrox:

In Barisic’s absence, despite hinting at other options, Ridvan Yilmaz should come in for his first start since before the World Cup, it doesn’t matter if he finishes the game, however, we should be starting with our strongest team and he is, without doubt, our best available left-back.

After a few weeks of not being 100%, Tillman should be given time to build back up to full fitness and the shape of the midfield will be dictated by Raskin’s situation. I’d expect John Lundstram to come in alongside Ryan Jack given the nature of the game and it being away from home.

Normally, I think we would go with Alfredo Morelos up front but, I don’t think we should be abandoning the Antonio Colak/Fashion Sakala partnership just yet, especially at Fir Park where we should have more space to get behind and counter attack. If one of them does come out, I’d rather it was Sakala.

The away performances under Beale have improved but we still need to improve our consistency from week to week, it’s no use playing 10/10 in one game and then 5/10 the next if we want to seriously challenge for the title.
