Rangers veteran goalkeeper Allan McGregor did not hold back in his-post match interview yesterday, following Rangers dismal draw against Hamilton Accies.

The three-times Scottish title winner kept his team in the game with a string of games, in what was his busiest outing of the season so far, domestically.

After Hamilton’s last-gasp equaliser, McGregor was clearly furious at those in front of him, letting rip with an outburst that was caught by the live TV cameras.

Strangely, given their own team’s woes in the goalkeeping department this season, some Celtic fans appeared to take enjoyment at the evidence of the Rangers number one displaying his passion and high demands, as can be seen below.

After the game, he followed up on this and did not miss in giving his matter of fact, direct criticism of the abject performance from Rangers.

When asked for his verdict on the display he responded:

“Rubbish. I thought for most of the game we were very, very poor – the worst I’ve seen us.”

“It was a good bit of play for our goal, but apart from that, there’s not a lot you can take from that.”

“We didn’t look like we wanted to win the game. Hamilton looked like more of a threat than us which is really disappointing.”

“All credit to them though, but we were just so poor today.”

He continued in the Sky Sports interview, below, to fire a warning to his teammates that they are not over the line yet in the pursuit of Premiership glory.

On complacency and lacking the right approach as if the title is already won, the 39-year old stated:

“We shouldn’t think that. We should take one game at a time and do what we need to do to win that game and then whatever happens, happens.”

“You can’t control anything else. Control the next game, that’s it.”

McGregor knows what it takes and what is required.

He is a winner with a driven mentality and he will certainly not be shy in training this week to set demands and challenge those around him to regain the focus and hunger that has put them in such a commanding position in the league table.
