Football Scotland revealed that the club had made contact with ES Serif about the potential signing of Ahmed Kendouci, the Algerian playmaker said to be the subject of a loan-to-buy offer, however, this was swiftly ruled out by the fan media site with close ties to Rangers.

Nothing about the story dominating social media and WhatsApp groups regarding Ryan Porteous and the Hibernian defender’s potential move to Rangers, a transfer that Jim Duffy, speaking on Clyde Superscoreboard revealed that he had heard was a possibility.

Out of the two players being mentioned, it’s safe to say that Kendouci would be the most popular signing in that we are desperately short of central creativity and he is capable of scoring goals and carving out opportunities from midfield.
With Ross Wilson coming under pressure at the AGM, the last thing he needs is even more by signing a player who has missed a season due to a serious knee injury, been sent off on multiple occasions and has police charges to his name, regardless of how many other boxes he might tick.
