Rangers could be about to make their fourth signing of the year in preparation for their defence of the Scottish Premiership title and a first Champions League campaign for ten years.

Steven Gerrard was coy when asked about the speculation linking Oostende’s Fashion Sakala with a move to Ibrox with the 24-year old hinting that he could be about to reveal his next destination, as reported by The Daily Record:

“The club grants me that transfer, everything will be completed this week. I want to make my choice known after the match against Standard on Saturday.”

Sakala has been linked with Rangers for a while now and he would provide an immediate upgrade to the likes of Jordan Jones and Brandon Barker, providing an end product that the on loan pair couldn’t consistently deliver in a Light Blue shirt.

Almost a goal every two games from a player who isn’t a central striker is decent going, if he can replicate that sort of return for us in the next few years he’ll become a very popular figure – with half of Glasgow at least.

The £2.25million rated forward is going to make his announcement this evening so it will be very much a case of keeping an eye on the usual social media channels, the current blackout from the club will prevent any official announcement but the mainstream media are obviously going to be keen to get the jump with any exclusive signing news.

However, if you want to be first to find out if he is heading to Ibrox, just make sure you cut out the middle man and are a dedicated follower of Fashion….
