Rangers tipped to win race for attacking arrival

|

Quoted by Football Insider, former Premier League striker Darren Bent has tipped Ryan Kent to join Rangers over Leeds United this summer transfer window.

It’s perhaps the longest-running saga of all involving our club this summer and it’s one that doesn’t seem to have a resolution any time soon.

Indeed, the winger has gone to the United States on the pre-season tour that Liverpool have arranged and so it remains to be seen if the Reds are even going to let him go.

If he does leave, though, the former Charlton and Tottenham forward reckons that the winger will pick us over Leeds United in terms of who he wants to play for next season.

He said:

“You’d have to say Rangers have got the advantage because he’s been there already.

“He’s been there already and knows Steven Gerrard so he’s comfortable there.”

Certainly, you can see the reasoning behind Bent’s comments.

Kent did well here last season and knows he is a wanted man by many at Ibrox so surely it is a no-brainer in that regard.

We’ll soon see if that is the case.
