Rangers starting line-up to face Borussia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion tonight, has been confirmed, with a big call in the middle of the park.

Gio van Bronckhorst’s selection for the massive encounter is as follows:

Allan McGregor – James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Calvin Bassey, Borna Barisic – Ryan Jack, John Lundstram, Scott Arfield – Ryan Kent, Joe Aribo – Alfredo Morelos.

On the bench we have Robbie McCrorie, Nicky Hogarth, – Leon King –  Aaron Ramsey, Steven Davis, Glen Kamara, James Sands – Scott Wright, Amad Diallo.

Following strong recent form, John Lundstram keeps his place, alongside Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield with Glen Kamara losing out and having to settle for a place on the bench. He will be an important impact player to use, as will be the quality of Aaron Ramsey.

Joe Aribo returns to the wide right position which he has occupied before, this is the sign of an expected more defensive agenda for Rangers tonight.

The bench is lighter without the likes of Fashion Sakala and Kemar Roofe, with Amad Diallo offering pace and trickery should he be called upon.

Whilst this game is something of a free hit, there are questions for Rangers to answer and a performance is expected as well as for the boss, Gio van Bronckhorst. An intriguing encounter lies ahead with chances expected for the visitors but in return how will the champions of Scotland fare against the significant quality of Borussia Dortmund.

Kick-off in the Ruhr city is at 5.45PM.
