Rangers’ task of keeping fan favourite this summer has taken a negative twist

|

According to the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool are looking for £12m before letting Ryan Kent leave the club on a permanent basis.

The Gers are looking to try and get a deal done for the winger this summer after an excellent year for us on loan from the Anfield club but it looks as though they are looking for a decent sum of cash.

Liverpool have been skilled in getting big money for players that perhaps aren’t worth it and though Kent is good, it would be a big stretch for us to pay that realistically.

I’m all for us being bold in the transfer market but that kind of money on one player would make you wonder what else we’re going to be able to do in the window.

Rangers must look to haggle, then, and I am sure they will whilst it might be handy if Ryan pushes for the move, too, in order to try and drive the price down.

At £12m, reluctantly, we’d surely have to say no.
