Rangers suffer significant player setback

We’re back to league action this weekend and a game against Motherwell awaits us on Sunday afternoon.

It’s certainly a game I feel as though we should be winning and that would be a good way to get the international break off on a positive note if we can keep up pace at the top.

We’re going to have to do it, though, with one of our main men missing with Daniel Candeias seeing the appeal against his second yellow card rejected by the SFA yesterday:

Certainly, it is a blow for us as I think Candeias has been one of our better players in recent weeks.

He was very good in October and against St. Mirren last weekend so to have him missing isn’t exactly ideal.

We perhaps shouldn’t be surprised, though, and now it remains to be seen who Steven Gerrard looks to play instead as we aim for another important three points.
