The Ryan Kent saga remains to be rumbling on this summer and it appears to have taken a turn for the worst with the latest updates in mind.
Not so long ago, Football Insider were reporting that we had agreed a deal verbally with the player and that, of course, was a good thing.
The report stressed, though, that Jurgen Klopp still had to give a loan deal with the Gers the green light and it appears as though the German has not done that.
Indeed, as per David Anderson of the Mirror, Klopp wants to play Kent in the Reds’ upcoming friendlies and also wants to take him on their tour of the US:
Jurgen Klopp has disappointed Steven Gerrard and Marcelo Bielsa by blocking another loan move for winger Ryan Kent. Kent will feature against Tranmere tonight and Bradford on Sunday as well as going on the club’s US tour. #lfc

Any deal we had agreed with the player, then, could well be hanging in the balance as, if Klopp likes what he sees he’ll surely look to keep him.
It’ll sound harsh, but I hope he isn’t that impressed for our sake…
