Earlier today Rangers confirmed the speculation linking us with Nottingham Forest centre-half Joe Worrall and announced his capture for the remainder of the season on a loan deal.

With it being no secret that manager Steven Gerrard was looking to increase his options in the heart of defence we had been linked with numerous players over the last month and a bit, and in recent times Worrall seemed like the top pick after other deals fell down.

The 21-year-old is now through the door at Ibrox and having made his debut for Forest in October 2016, he now has 56 games under his belt and only fell out of favour and down the pecking order at the club when new manager Aitor Karanka strengthened the group with greater experience.

At international levels, he’s been capped four times by England’s Under 20s and he skippered them to Toulon Tournament success in 2017 and has since stepped up to their Under 21 group, where he currently has three caps to his name.

He’s certainly highly rated and a number of clubs were linked with him so Rangers have pulled off a mini-coup here as the above comments imply from Forest fans.
