Rangers star Ianis Hagi has been tipped for a move to the Premier League despite just putting pen to paper on a long-term deal with the Ibrox club, according to a report in The Daily Record.

Mirel Radol, the current Romania Manager, believes that it is only a matter of time before the 21-year old  moves to the richest league in the world despite not being impressed with his move to Rangers.

“With the qualities he has, Ianis would have been more suited to move to a club in Spain rather than Rangers. The style of football would have suited him better.

“But with his talent, it would come as no surprise to me at all if he moves to England within two years and plays for a big club in the Premier League.

“He is already a top player and will be a huge success at Rangers.”

Hagi has shown flashes of what he is capable of, particularly against Braga in the Europa League, his ability to pick a pass with either foot and produce match winning moments could be key in what is sure to be a nervous season.

Where does Rangers "target" Lyndon Dykes current play his football?

With Ross Wilson securing a knock down £3million deal for Hagi, Rangers managed to secure his services knowing that the Romanian international was attracting interest from Serie A and will be hoping that by delivering silverware they will get their money back and more – when he does decide to move on.

Gers fans face an anxious wait until the end of the transfer window, hoping that further attacking reinforcements will be added to the squad as Steven Gerrard aims to deliver what would be the most celebrated title in the club’s illustrious history.
