Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has become the first player to score 14 goals before Christmas in European competition, as reported in The Daily Mail.
Morelos hit the target after finishing the group stages with 6 goals in 6 games to finish as the top goal scorer during that phase of the competition, this came after scoring 8 goals in the qualifying rounds.
The Colombian international has been in lethal form this season with 27 goals in 33 appearances and despite Steven Gerrard and Rangers claiming that the forward is going nowhere, clubs continue to be linked with January moves for him with Everton the latest club credited with an interest.
Morelos has bounced back from the disappointment of his penalty miss against Celtic in the Betfred Cup final in emphatic fashion, a goal against Young Boys to secure European football after Christmas and the second in the weekend’s win over Motherwell, after which he was controversially sent off by whistler Don Robertson.
How man more goals wil Morelos score in the Europa League?

Rangers fans will be hoping to still have Morelos in their ranks when the knockout stages come around in February and the Ibrox side play Braga, these fans took to Twitter to congratulate El Bufalo on the achievement and to scoff at the criticism that frequently comes his way.
World class. Yet the Rangers hatred runs so deep others can’t appreciate him. Instead of enthusing about a quality player, the xenophobic Scottish press would rather chastise/belittle him. Ignoring his goals and concentrating on his indiscipline.

Despite being on nearly 30 goals before Christmas, Morelos still has commentators of the Scottish game criticising him when he should be being hailed as, potentially, the finest import since the likes of Henrik Larsson and Brian Laudrup.
