Calmed down yet?
I have to say that was a pretty tense occasion last night but looking at it all today you have to say we’ve got to be pleased with what we saw.
Of course, winning the game would have been nice and we had chances to do so – particularly in the first half – but the red changed things and then getting a draw was imperative.
At the back, then, we needed to be perfect and that we were for much of the game.
And, when the Spanish side did get through there was one man standing in their way like a colossus – Allan McGregor.
That’s one of the finest goalkeeping displays I have ever seen in my life and his performance has resonated not only with the fans but with the players too.
