The Europa League has been going well for Rangers so far this season, but our last game did throw a bit of a spanner in the works. A loss to Spartak Moscow has made our progression far from certain, and so when the competition returns on Thursday, it’s vital that we get a good result.
We’re set to take on Villarreal at Ibrox, and it’s fair to say that a good result is of paramount importance. Not only will it improve our chances in Europe, but it will also allow us to continue our fine run of form.
One man that has certainly been on a good run of form lately is Daniel Candeias. He’s bagged a couple of goals for the Gers, and it’s pretty clear that he’s ready to impress again on Thursday. He recently shared an update on Twitter, with the attacker already looking forward to the next tie.

It’s fair to say that if Candeias performs well, we’ll be in with a much better chance of succeeding against Villarreal. They’re a good side, but if our performances have shown anything over the last few weeks, it’s evident that we’re able to beat anyone on our day.
Candeias is clearly looking forward to the game – and so are we.
